Watch: Sustainable Seafood Convo w/Eric Ripert

We hadn't been closely following the Lopate & Lacovores conversations on WNYC but now we're quickly catching up. Here is a fascinating conversation captured in video about sustainable seafood between Carl Safina of the Blue Ocean Institute, Karen Rivara, who raises oysters in Long Island and one of our favorite chefs Eric Ripert of Le Bernardin. Regardless of the politics, eating fish that has been caught and harvested responsibly is something we can all agree is important (pun intended) food for thought. Lots of interesting nuggets of intel about the process from fishing to plate in this (lengthy) clip.
